Mission
The mission of Tri-Lakes Chapel is seen and heard in everything we do as a church. It is to help people connect:

• intimately with God
• intentionally with God's family
• and influentially with God's world

Vision
The vision of Tri-Lakes Chapel is the picture we believe God has given us of our desired future. While we have not yet arrived at the destination, we believe God is leading very clearly toward this preferable future. Our vision is:

To develop genuine biblical community
on every street in the Tri-Lakes Region

Distinctives
We believe the following words are becoming descriptive of the culture God wants to see at Tri-Lakes Chapel.

• Transformation - Spiritual growth is ultimately not measured by an increase in knowledge or even a change in behavior, but by the renovation of one's character toward Christ-likeness.
• Authenticity - True transformation leads to authentic faith. Authentic people with authentic faith are the andwer to the growing disillusionment with Christianity in our culture.
• Relationships - Authentic people seek out authentic relationships. Our structures and ministries allow for the developement of meaningful relational communities both inside and outside the church building.
• Geographically-based, intergenerational community - We are building these transfromed, authentic, relationships with geography in mind as well as intergenerational community. There is tremendous untapped benefit when people of all ages and stages build community and grow together in proximity.
• Simplicity - To achieve our mission and vision with these distinctives in mind, we challenge people to greater simplicity in their lives. We do this an an antidote to the non-biblical, frantic patterns of living that are so common place in our culture.
